Since June 30, the QR-invoice has been introduced throughout Switzerland, replacing the orange and red payment slips.
Small businesses, self‑employed workers or associations that used neutral, red or orange payment slips will no longer have to order payment slips, but generate a QR code using a dedicated generator within their company management software.
Why QR-invoice?
The QR-invoice was introduced because, unlike the current payment slips, it meets all national and international regulatory requirements. The QR code was developed in 1994 by a Japanese company. QR stands for “quick response”, i.e., “rapid reaction”.
