Who we are

This website, https://ticinoweb.com, is operated by ticinoWEB di Giovanni Frino, Via Serafino Balestra 6, 6600 Locarno (Switzerland), data controller.

For any data‑protection questions you can write to info@ticinoweb.net or call us at +41 91 225 37 15.

We process personal data in compliance with the Federal Data Protection Act (LPD, RS 235.1) and, where applicable, the European Union General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).

What data we collect and why

Contact forms and support requests

When you fill out a form (consultation request, contact or support) we collect the data you enter: name, company, email, phone, requested service and message. We use them solely to respond to your request and to manage our relationship with you. The data are recorded in our customer and support management system and are not disclosed to third parties without your consent.

Newsletter

If you subscribe to the newsletter we use your email address to send you news and advice on web, marketing and software. Subscription requires your consent and email confirmation. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link provided in each message.

Comments

If comments are enabled on a page and you leave one, we collect the data entered in the form, your IP address and the browser you use, to detect spam. An anonymized (hashed) version of your email address may be sent to the Gravatar service to display the profile picture; its privacy policy is at automattic.com/privacy. After the comment is approved, the profile picture is publicly visible next to the comment.

Usage statistics

To understand how the site is used we employ analytics tools, such as Google Analytics, which collect traffic data: IP address, device type and pages visited. These tools are activated only with your consent, which you can give or withdraw at any time via the cookie preferences. Alternatively you can disable tracking with the Google opt‑out add‑on.

Cookies

We use technical cookies necessary for the site’s operation, and, with your consent, analytics and third‑party cookies. For example, cookies are used to:

  • remember your data when you leave a comment (duration: 1 year);
  • check if the browser accepts cookies (temporary cookie);
  • store login information and preferences (duration: from 2 days to 1 year);
  • save the identifier of a content while you edit or publish it (duration: 1 day).

You can manage consent from the Legal Information page and delete cookies from your browser settings.

Embedded content from other sites

Pages may include content from other sites, such as videos, images or articles. This content behaves as if you visited the site directly: it may collect data, use cookies and track your browsing, especially if you have an account on that site.

Who we share your data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with providers that help us run the site and services, for example hosting in Switzerland (Infomaniak), anti‑spam and analytics tools and email sending, or when the law requires it. Comments may be checked by an automatic spam detection service, such as Akismet.

How long we retain data

  • Requests sent via forms: up to 12 months, unless legal obligations or an ongoing contractual relationship.
  • Newsletter subscription: until you unsubscribe.
  • Comments and related metadata: as long as the comment remains published, or until you request deletion.
  • Account data (if you registered): until you request deletion.

Your rights

At any time you can ask us to:

  • access your personal data;
  • correct or delete them;
  • limit processing or object;
  • receive your data in a transferable format (portability), where applicable.

To exercise your rights write to us at info@ticinoweb.net. If you believe your data are not being handled correctly you can also contact the Federal Data Protection and Transparency Officer (IFPDT).

How we protect your data

  • encrypted HTTPS connection;
  • firewall and security tools on the server;
  • regular software updates;
  • personal data access limited to those who need it.

In case of a data breach we will inform the competent authority and the affected individuals, as required by the LPD and, if applicable, the GDPR.

Additional information

  • Data received from third parties: we do not receive data from third parties systematically.
  • Profiling and automated decisions: we do not perform profiling nor make automated decisions regarding your personal data.
  • Industry regulations: we are not subject to specific industry regulations beyond the Swiss LPD and, if applicable, the GDPR.
