Since 30 June, the QR-bill has been introduced throughout Switzerland, replacing the orange and red payment slips.
Small businesses, self-employed workers or associations, which used neutral, red or orange payment slips, will no longer have to order payment slips, but generate a QR code using a special generator within their company management system.
Why the QR-bill?
The QR-bill was introduced as, unlike current payment slips, it meets all national and international regulatory requirements. The QR code was developed in 1994 by a Japanese company. QR stands for “quick response”.
